Abu Dhabi Ports embark on transformative journey

Abu Dhabi Ports and Etisalat have signed a MoU focusing on advancing technological capabilities and business opportunities.
Abu Dhabi Ports and Etisalat have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on advancing technological capabilities and business opportunities in support of Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.
They signed the partnership agreement at the recent GITEX Technology Week.  It focuses on building shared electronic projects and networks, exchanging knowledge, simplifying procedures, and securing fixed and wireless telecommunications coverage.  Moreover, it also focuses on managing operational risk.

Adapt to latest technologies

Etisalat will also help Abu Dhabi Ports to adapt to the latest telecommunications technologies, business models, and customer behaviours. The agreement will broaden Abu Dhabi Ports reach by connecting the business to its ports, free zone, and technological entities.
Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, said rapid technological growth is transforming the telecommunications sector.  Therefore, collaborating with Etisalat will help Abu Dhabi Ports to stay ahead of industry developments and adapt to new technologies.  It will also ensure that customers experience world-class, cutting-edge telecommunications services.
Sultan Al Dhaheri, GM, Etisalat Abu Dhabi region said they look forward to enabling connectivity and offering capabilities to bring in efficiency and manage business operations effectively across the port.
He said this partnership is part of their goal of ‘Driving a Digital future to Empower Societies’. Etisalat hopes to work closely with both public and private sectors to use digital technologies to boost their digital services.
Abu Dhabi Port’s participation in the annual GITEX Technology Week comes at a time when the operator is strengthening its relationships with institutions to support Abu Dhabi’s digital transformation in line with its Economic Plan 2030.
