HD Fire Systems has implemented advanced fire protection applications at Yotta NM1, Asia’s largest data center, located in Navi Mumbai, India. This state-of-the-art facility spans 600 acres within the Hiranandani Fortune City in Panvel and is recognized for its commitment to efficiency and sustainability.
Darshan Hiranandani, the Group CEO of Hiranandani Group, emphasizes that Yotta NM1 not only leads in capability and competitive pricing but also sets a global standard for power efficiency. The center boasts an impressive Power Usage Efficiency (PUE), which is crucial for operations in tropical climates. With a power capacity of 50 megawatts and 7,200 racks, Yotta NM1 is the first of five data centers being established within the Integrated Yotta Data Center Park, which will eventually accommodate 30,000 racks with a total power capacity of 250 megawatts when completed.
To ensure the highest level of fire safety, Yotta NM1 integrates a pre-action fire sprinkler system. This innovative system operates on the principle of a dry pipe configuration, requiring two distinct fire detection signals before activation. This design is particularly beneficial for water-sensitive environments such as data centers, where unexpected water leakage from sprinkler systems could cause significant damage to equipment and data.
In sum, HD Fire Systems’ deployment at Yotta NM1 illustrates a robust approach to fire safety in a facility that prioritizes efficiency and sustainability. As the first of its kind in a larger complex, Yotta NM1 sets a benchmark for future data centers in the region and worldwide.
