Hypercharge Networks, in partnership with Canadian Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions (CEVCS), is set to install 10 dual-port Hypercharge EV charging stations at four Rodd Hotels & Resorts locations in Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada. This initiative aligns with growing efforts to support electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and promote sustainable travel options in the region.
Rodd Hotels & Resorts, a major player in the Atlantic Canadian hospitality market, operates seven properties across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI. The selected hotels for this EV charging initiative include Rodd Charlottetown, Rodd Royalty, Rodd Brudenell River Resort, and Rodd Crowbush. The installations will utilize Hypercharge’s advanced dual-port JuiceBar Gen 3 Level 2 EV chargers, enhancing the available amenities for guests traveling in electric vehicles.
Richard Little from CEVCS highlighted Rodd Hotels & Resorts as a historic and community-oriented family business that has operated for over 85 years. He noted that the hotel chain was eager to collaborate on this project not only for its potential to advance the province’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions but also to provide essential charging facilities for guests with electric vehicles.
To financially support this initiative, Rodd Hotels & Resorts is utilizing the PEI electric vehicle charging funding program. Hypercharge and CEVCS have assisted the hotel chain in meeting all necessary criteria to secure funding for the installation of the charging infrastructure.
