Mohamed Safwan Bin Othman is the chairman of Malaysia Shipowners’ Association (MASA), the only national industry organization representing shipowners in the country, which has a central role to play in the development of the shipping industry.
As chairman, Mohamed Safwan is promoting maritime excellence and the continuous improvement of maritime standards for the benefit of all. MASA is position as a bridge that connects the industry and the government, to provide inputs to government officials for the betterment of the industry and ultimately bringing progress to Malaysia as a whole.
Mohamed Safwan also currently serves as the president/group managing director for Dinastia Group of Companies, which he joined in November 2013 as a senior manager for finance and administration. He is the former president of Malaysia OSV Owners’ Association (MOSVA) from 2018 to 2021.
Safwan Othman earned his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Salford in the United Kingdom, and a Master of Science degree in Finance & Islamic Banking from the London School of Business.
