Terence is director, carbon management, UN Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS). In this role, he oversees operational and strategic decarbonization activities for CPLC (Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition) Singapore, which is the decarbonization arm of GCNS.
Terence has over 30 years of industry experience with Shell Oil, in which he held leadership positions in process technology, operations and health, safety and environment. He is a believer in servant leadership, leading by personal example based on his core values of Integrity, honesty and respect for people. In this career pivot into sustainability and the environment, Terence applies his lifelong passion to promote a culture of energy conservation and protection of the environment, guided by sustainable development principles, in all his areas of influence.
Terence has a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Hons) in chemical engineering from the National University of Singapore, and is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He attended the Cambridge University Prince of Wales Business and Sustainability Program for senior executives, as well as training on various ISO standards such as 50001 and 14064.
