The CMA CGM Group, a global player in sea, land, air and logistics solutions, is enhancing its Eagle Express 1
(EX1) service, further reinforcing Japan’s connectivity to the United States West Coast. This US Flag service
with weekly departures enables optimized frequency and reliability, underscoring the Group’s continued
commitment to strengthening Japan’s supply chain resilience and global trade links.

Faster, More Reliable Access to United States West Coast
The EX1 service will feature additional port calls in Japan, namely Kobe, Nagoya and Yokohama. Cargo from
these three ports will arrive in Los Angeles in 16 days, 14 days and 12 days, respectively. With the improved
network design, shippers benefit from fast, dependable transit to the U.S. West Coast, and a more resilient
supply chain supported by CMA CGM’s strategic terminal presence in Los Angeles (FMS), Busan (BNC) and
Yokohama (Honmoku D5).

Shippers in Japan benefit from improved connectivity to selected U.S. inland destinations through on-dock rail
at Los Angeles (FMS), enabling day-definite arrival and predictable delivery to key Midwest and Southern U.S.
markets, supporting more resilient end-to-end supply chains.
The enhanced EX1 service benefits U.S. importers from Japan while also supporting stable export capacity
from the U.S. West Coast.

A fleet of seven 5,600 TEUs vessels will be deployed on the enhanced EX1. The weekly service will commence
sailing from Port of Kobe on 5 May, with the following rotation:
Qingdao – Busan – Kobe – Nagoya – Yokohama – Los Angeles –Oakland – Yokohama – Naha – Busan –Qingdao.
