The Maritime Correspondents’ Organisation of Nigeria (MARCON) has announced the details for its upcoming All Maritime Journalists Retreat, marking an important opportunity for stakeholders from various sectors, including maritime, trade, finance, and technology, to collaborate on enhancing Nigeria’s trade competitiveness. The event will feature a significant presentation by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) titled “Onboarding on the National Single Window Platform: A Step-by-Step Guide.” This paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of how businesses and stakeholders can integrate with Nigeria’s National Single Window (NSW) platform, which is designed to streamline trade documentation, improve transparency, and expedite cargo clearance. The FIRS plays a crucial role in this initiative, as the NSW Secretariat is housed within the agency, underscoring its importance in facilitating technology-driven trade improvements and modernizing revenue collection systems.
