Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas

Maritime Design Expo Americas

In February, Brighton, the Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas (CSI Americas) announced its return, slated for June 3-4 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This event marks a pivotal year for the cruise ship interiors sector, with registration now open. As the industry experiences a surge in demand, the order book for newbuild cruise ships has expanded to 2036, fueled by 35 new ship orders expected by the end of 2024.

Carnival Cruise Line’s new Dream Makers program, enabling guests to influence entertainment and design choices, signifies a shift in industry engagement. This initiative is expected to usher in a wave of innovation, propelling cruise lines, design studios, and suppliers to embark on extensive product research and trend exploration.

CSI Americas will also emphasize networking, hosting various events to foster industry connections. Highlighted activities include an Opening Party on June 2 and intimate socials throughout the two-day expo. Last year’s CSI Europe saw over 1,000 one-on-one Speed Networking meetings, and CSI Americas aims to surpass this figure. Attendees will benefit from events like Meet the Brands and Lunch & Learns, where suppliers can gain insights into the decision-making and workflows within cruise line design.

The show will not only spotlight innovative design but also incorporate elements of futuristic hospitality, as seen in projects like the kinetic sculpture aboard the Icon of the Seas and personalized experiences on Princess Cruises. A new feature called the Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit will debut, offering attendees the chance to engage with exhibitors specializing in advanced technologies and participate in a conference focused on current and future industry trends.

Additionally, the Hotel & Resort Design South (HRDS) will co-locate with CSI Americas, showcasing exhibitors from the Southern U.S. and Central and South America, including big names like Williams-Sonoma and Marriott International. The HRDS conference will delve into the evolving wellness trend and explore brand value across diverse locations.

Attendees can register for free entry to CSI Americas, the CXI summit, and HRDS. This event serves as a significant hub for the cruise interiors supply chain, connecting leading cruise lines, designers, and shipyards.
