A New Year booking initiative that transforms travel into tangible regeneration through mangrove restoration.
Kep, Cambodia, January 2025 — To begin the year with purpose and impact, Knai Bang Chatt by
Kep West unveils The Regenerative Stay, a year-long initiative that places regeneration at the heart
of the travel experience. Designed to transform guests from passive visitors into active
contributors, the campaign links every January booking directly to coastal restoration in Kep.
For all 2026 bookings, Knai Bang Chatt will fund the planting of ten seedling mangroves, in
partnership with Marine Conservation Cambodia (MCC) and with our local Mangrove
community members. This simple but meaningful mechanism ensures that every stay contributes
directly to the long-term health of Cambodia’s fragile coastal ecosystems. Each tree will offset
about 308kg of CO₂ over a 25-year ‘growth life.’ In total, 10 trees will offset more than 7.7 tonnes of CO₂.
The Regenerative Stay reflects Knai Bang Chatt’s long-standing philosophy: that travel can actively
restore environments, support local communities, and create positive impact beyond the guest experience.
